Members of Council are required to request items they wish to discuss from the Information Items. Items will be discussed under Agenda Item 12-Correspondence. 

Members of Council are required to state any pecuniary interest in accordance with the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act.

Members of the Public or organizations wishing to have an announcement read at a meeting are required to contact the Town Offices at [email protected] no later than 4:30 p.m. on the Tuesday preceding the date of the Regular Council Meeting.

    THAT Council receive Report – Response to Dufferin County’s Fire Modernization Plan,

    AND FURTHER THAT Council express to the County their support for their preferred recommendation(s) arising from the Dufferin County Multi-Jurisdictional Fire Prevention and Protection Modernization Plan, and give direction to our County Representatives on Grand Valley’s wishes for the discussion to follow.

    THAT Council receives Report – Canine Control By-law issues;

    AND FURTHER THAT Council directs staff to make the necessary amendments to the by-law as discussed and present the updated by-law for adoption.

    THAT Council receives Report – By-Law Enforcement Status Update – October 2024, for information purposes.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives the Report – Draft Ball Diamond Allocation Policy, for review and recommendations

The purpose and effect of the amendment is to permit an expansion of a Legal Non-conforming (Residential) Use and to permit a second driveway.

  • Recommendation

    THAT Report No. PLN2024-098, dated November 26, 2024, be received;

    AND FURTHER THAT Zoning By-law Amendment file Z06-2024, to amend the Town of Grand Valley Zoning By-law 2009-10, as amended, for the lands municipally known as 68 Water Street (Roll #349900), as generally shown in Appendix 4: Zoning By-law, of this report be approved and the necessary by-law be adopted.

The purpose and effect of the amendment is a Consent and Zoning By-law Amendment to permit a Lot Line Adjustment between adjoining properties. 

  • Recommendation

    THAT Report No. PLN2024-102, dated November 26, 2024, be received;

    AND FURTHER THAT application B01-2024 from the property owners of 402287 County Road 15 (Roll #207300) for a Consent Application, to permit a lot line adjustment, as generally shown in Appendix 3: Severance Sketch and as per the conditions outlined in Appendix 4: Consent Decision, be approved;

    AND FURTHER THAT application Z07-2024 from the property owners of 402287 County Road 15 (Roll #207300) for a Zoning By-law Amendment, to rezone a portion of the lands from the Agricultural (A) Zone to a Rural Residential Exception Thirty-seven (RR-37) Zone, as generally shown in Appendix 5: Zoning By-law, be approved and the necessary By-law be adopted.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT leave be given to introduce a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Regular Council Meeting held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 and that it be given the necessary readings and be passed and numbered as By-Law 2024-52.
